ASCII, Set the system units to mils.
Select the In/Out menu, ASCII Out (F4) command.
Select the All option and the PADS-2000 or PADS-3000 format.
Choose a file name.
You will then be asked to make the inch/metric conversion, respond Yes(F1) to create output in mils.

PDIF, Select the PCAD menu from main.
Select PCB Tools(this presents the PCB command option menu).
Select the PDIF File Writer option to start the command.
Output a complete PDIF data file for the design.
There are three options for CAD data it does not matter what options the CAD operator selects.
Select the name of the PCB file to translate.
Select the name of the PDIF file to be created.
Click on Run to start the process of creating the file.

Veribest

ASCII, The GenCad file is output using the Report Writer export program.
This is a separate executable that is included as a standard part of the Veribest system.
Selecting the Mitron output option tells Veribest to create a GenCad ASCII placement file.
